Beatbot Sora 70

The Sora 70 skims the water surface as well as cleaning the floor, walls, waterline and shallow platforms. Its JetPulse system uses twin jets to pull floating debris toward the intake. Beatbot rates it for up to 7 hours on the surface or 5 hours on the floor.

Surface cleaning

Twin jets bring the leaves to the robot.

On the surface, the Sora 70 runs Beatbot's JetPulse system. Two water jets set up a current that draws floating debris toward the intake.

  • Pulls in, not away. Beatbot says the twin jets pull debris inward instead of pushing it away.
  • Up to 7 hours. Beatbot's rated surface cleaning time on one charge.
  • You can steer it. While it is on the surface, drive it from the Beatbot app or call it to the edge.

What does the Sora 70 add over the Sora 30?

Per Beatbot, the Sora 70 adds water surface cleaning and a remote control mode, and has a 6 L basket instead of 5.2 L. Both have a 10,000 mAh battery, 6,800 GPH suction and surface parking.

Can the Sora 70 clean steps?

Yes, in Standard or Pro mode. Beatbot says the water on the step must be deeper than 8 inches (0.2 m) and the step at least 3.3 ft long and wide.

Can the Sora 70 be used in a saltwater pool?

Yes. Beatbot rates it for saltwater pools with a salt level up to 5,000 ppm.

How long does delivery take?

Shipping is free within the continental US. Beatbot normally ships within 48 hours and quotes an average transit time of 3 to 7 business days, by USPS, UPS, FedEx or Amazon Logistics.

Where can Beatbot not ship?

Which Beatbot robots clean the water surface?

The Sora 70, AquaSense 2 Pro, AquaSense 2 Ultra and AquaSense X skim the surface. The Sora 10, Sora 30, AquaSense and AquaSense 2 clean the floor, walls and waterline; pair one with an iSkim solar skimmer for the surface.

Do Beatbot robots work in above-ground and vinyl pools?

Yes. Beatbot lists in-ground and above-ground pools of any shape, with concrete, ceramic tile, vinyl or fiberglass finishes.

Can I control the robot from the app while it is underwater?

Wi-Fi and Bluetooth do not travel well through water, so the app connects when the robot is at the surface or out of the pool. The buttons on the robot start every cleaning mode without the app.

Does a pool robot replace my filter and chemicals?

No. A robot removes debris; it does not balance the water. Keep running your pump, filter and chemical treatment. Beatbot notes that unbalanced water can reduce a robot's efficiency and wear its parts sooner.
