How Much Does a Yarbo Cost? What Decides the Price

A Yarbo's price is set by three choices: which Core, how many modules, and which accessories. Here is what moves the total up or down, what it costs to run, and how to compare it with paying for services.

Yarbo Y40P Core robot

Last updated: October 2026

What you pay for a Yarbo depends on three things: the Core you choose (Y40 or Y40P), how many modules come with it (one, two or three), and whether you add the Trimmer and accessories. A single-module package is the entry point. A Core with all three modules and a Trimmer is the top. Current prices for every package are on our product pages.

Why are there no prices in this guide?

Because prices move, and a guide with last month's number does more harm than good. Yarbo runs launch and seasonal pricing, and a figure printed here would be wrong the day it changed. Every product page on our store shows the live price. This guide covers what does not change: how the total is built and what it costs to own.

What are you paying for?

A Yarbo is a system with three layers.

1. The Core. The tracked robot base with the battery, motors, cameras and RTK navigation. This is the largest part of the cost and the part every job depends on. It comes in two versions:

  • Y40: top speed 0.6 m/s.
  • Y40P: gearbox-free hub motors, 1.2 m/s, about 60 dB, about 15% more efficient, per Yarbo. It sits above the Y40 in price.

2. Modules. Each one is a complete tool.

  • Lawn Mower Pro: 20 in cut, two 300 W motors.
  • Snow Blower: two-stage, 24 in path, the heaviest module at 83 lb.
  • Leaf Blower: 174 mph and 607 CFM.

3. Add-ons. The Trimmer package, Smart Assist Module, traction parts, covers and antennas.

What moves the price up or down?

Choice Effect on total
Y40P instead of Y40 Higher
Two modules instead of one Higher, though a bundle is one order and one delivery
All three modules Highest module count
Adding the Trimmer package Higher
Buying a module later Spreads the cost over time
Accessories for ice, trees or towing Small additions, by property

Start from the package that covers your most urgent season, then add. Our guide which Yarbo package should you buy? walks through each bundle.

What is the lowest-cost way in?

A single-module package on the Y40 Core. For example the Y40 Snow Blower, the Y40 Lawn Mower Pro or the Y40 Leaf Blower. Each includes the Core and one module, and you can add other modules in later seasons.

If you already own a Core, a module alone is the cheapest step: the Snow Blower Module, Lawn Mower Pro Module or Leaf Blower Module.

What does a Yarbo cost to run?

Purchase price is one part. Ownership has a few small running costs.

Electricity. The Core has a 36 V, 38.4 Ah battery, which is about 1.4 kWh per full charge. At typical US residential rates that is cents per charge. Even daily use adds little to a power bill.

Wear parts. These are consumables, and Yarbo sells each one:

Part Used by Yarbo pack
Cutting blades and bolts Lawn Mower Pro 40 pcs
Trimmer line spool Trimmer 4 pack
Shear pins and cotter pins Snow Blower 8 sets
Scraper bar Snow Blower 1
Track grease Core 200 ml

Battery. Yarbo rates the 38.4Ah battery for 500 cycles with 80% capacity retention and covers it with a 2-year warranty. A replacement battery is the main long-term cost to plan for.

Seasonal parts. Snow tracks or studs if your driveway needs them. See Yarbo winter traction parts.

What does it not cost?

  • Fuel. None.
  • Oil, spark plugs, belts, carburetor service. None. It is electric.
  • Boundary wire installation. None. It uses RTK. See RTK vs boundary wire.
  • Shipping. Core packages ship by free freight.

How does it compare with paying for services?

This is the comparison that decides it for most buyers. Do it with your own numbers.

  1. Lawn service: what you pay per visit times visits per year.
  2. Fall cleanup: what you pay for leaf removal.
  3. Snow removal: per push or per season.
  4. Add them for one year.
  5. Multiply by the years you plan to stay. Five is a fair planning figure.

Compare that total with the price of the package that would replace those services, plus a modest yearly allowance for wear parts.

A Yarbo with one module replaces one of those lines. With three modules it can replace all three. That is why the larger packages can make more financial sense than they first appear to: the Core's cost is shared across every season.

The free calculator in our Find Your Robot tool runs a version of this for lawn service. For winter, see robot snow blower vs snow removal service.

How does it compare with buying separate machines?

To match one Core with three modules you would buy a large-area robot mower or riding mower, a two-stage snow blower and a backpack or wheeled blower. Those are three machines to store, fuel or charge, and maintain, and two of them need you behind them. The Yarbo is one base and three tools that drive themselves. Whether that is worth the difference depends on how much you value your time and how much of the year each machine would sit unused.

Can you pay over time?

Shop Pay Installments are available at checkout, with rates from 0 to 36% APR, subject to an eligibility check. The terms offered to you are shown at checkout before you commit.

What about cheaper listings elsewhere?

Compare like with like. Check that a listing is for the same Core, the same modules and a new unit, and that it includes shipping. A Y40 package and a Y40P package are different products. If a price looks far below the rest, check exactly what is in the box.

What does the warranty cover?

Yarbo's 2-year limited warranty covers the Core and modules, per Yarbo's warranty policy. We help you file and follow up on claims with Yarbo. Warranty support has real value on a machine at this level, so ask any seller how claims are handled before you buy.

Is a Yarbo worth the money?

It tends to be worth it when:

  • You have enough property: acres of lawn, a long driveway, or both.
  • You have more than one season of work for it.
  • You currently pay for services or spend many hours doing the work.
  • You will stay several years.

It is harder to justify when the lot is small, flat and needs one job done. In that case a simpler machine or a service may serve you better, and we will say so.
