The smart start for gentler ground.

If your yard rolls more than it climbs, the 2WD is the place to start. It carries the same 21-inch, 1,985 W cutting deck as every S1, cuts grass up to 27 inches tall and turns into a leaf vacuum in the fall, at the lowest price in the S1 lineup.

Dual brushless motors drive deformable grip tires rated to 45% grade (24°). Its cutting height runs from 1.8 to 4.6 inches, the tallest top setting of any S1, for a lawn you like kept long.

The 4WD is where the S1 becomes a hill machine. Four independent brushless motors put 1,000 W of traction to the ground, climb slopes to 75% grade (37°) and roll over obstacles up to 3.94 inches: roots, ruts and ditch edges.

It cuts grass up to 51 inches tall, vacuums leaves in the fall and takes both the Snow Plow Kit and the Trailer Hitch Kit, so one machine works the yard all year. Choose the 12Ah battery for up to 0.75 acre per charge or the 18Ah for up to 1.125 acres.

S1 4WD Wide Wheel

A wider footprint for soft, wet slopes.

Soft ground is where tires slip and turf tears. The Wide Wheel Edition puts the 4WD on wider 250 x 100 mm PU wheels that spread the machine's weight, add grip and leave a lighter mark on the lawn. Mowrator rates it to 85% grade (40°).

It ships with the 18Ah battery for up to 2.25 hours and 1.125 acres per charge, and keeps everything the 4WD does: 51-inch grass, 3.94-inch clearance, leaves, snow and towing.

S1 4WD Grip Tread

The steepest-rated S1 there is.

Some ground is too steep to stand on, let alone mow. That is the job for the Grip Tread Tire Edition. Its 12 mm non-directional tread on semi-solid TPU tires is rated to 119% grade (50°), the highest in the S1 lineup, and the tires never need air and cannot go flat.

It ships with Mowrator's fullest S1 box: two pairs of Grip Tread tires plus four drive wheels, the 18Ah battery, a mulch plug, clippings bag, toolkit and OTG cable. Worth knowing: the tires stiffen below 14°F and grip less after long exposure to damp or standing water.

Blades, tires and other consumable parts can be exchanged within 30 days if not damaged by misuse. Commercial, agricultural or other income-generating use is covered by a separate Mowrator contract. Does the S1 mow by itself?

No. The S1 is a remote-control mower: you drive it with the handheld controller, like an RC car. That is why there is no boundary wire, no mapping app and no RTK setup, and why it can go on slopes and into places a robot mower cannot.

Which S1 edition should I choose?

Start with your steepest slope. Mowrator rates the S1 2WD to 45% (24°), the S1 4WD to 75% (37°), the Wide Wheel Edition to 85% (40°) on softer ground and the Grip Tread Tire Edition to 119% (50°). Tell us about your yard and we will match it.

How long does a battery last?

The 12Ah battery runs up to 1.5 hours and about 0.75 acre per charge; the 18Ah runs up to 2.25 hours and about 1.125 acres. With the included 600 W charger they recharge in about 70 and 90 minutes. The packs swap in seconds, so a spare keeps you mowing.

Can it pick up leaves?

Yes. Fit the mulching blades and the S1 vacuums, shreds and bags leaves with 931 CFM of airflow into the 70 L bag, or mulches them back into the lawn.

Can I use it in winter?

The S1 4WD editions take Mowrator's Snow Plow Kit: a 31.5 inch shovel that angles and lifts. It does not fit the 2WD. Mowrator lists the kit as a pre-order shipping in October 2026.

How far away can I stand?

Mowrator does not publish a control range for the standard remote, so keep the mower in sight while you mow. The MOWFUN FPV kit adds a live camera view, and Mowrator rates its signal up to 4,000 m.

Is it safe with kids and pets around?

Mowrator lists a 360° safety system, including emergency stop buttons. It is still a mower with a spinning blade: an adult should hold the remote, and children and pets should stay out of the mowing area. Follow the safety instructions in the Mowrator manual.

Can I use the S1 for commercial work?

Yes, it suits banks, ditches and embankments that are slow or risky to mow by hand. Note that Mowrator's standard warranty covers personal, home use; commercial, agricultural, institutional or income-generating use is covered under a separate Mowrator contract. Call us before you buy for a business.

What warranty comes with it?

For home use, Mowrator covers the main machine, remote control and battery for 2 years or 2,000 hours of use, whichever comes first, and the charger for 1 year.
