With the Lawn Mower Pro, the Y40P mows up to 0.3 acre per charge, 2 acres a day and 7 acres a week. With the Snow Blower it clears up to 7,000 ft² per charge. Fewer stops to recharge in the middle of a job.

Trimmer Package (Y Series)

Meet the Yarbo Trimmer.

Mowing leaves a line of grass along every fence post, wall and flower bed. The Trimmer takes care of that line, so the lawn looks finished without anyone walking the edges with a string trimmer.

  1. Back Brace Mount. A three-point steel mount on the back of the Core. The Trimmer only connects through it.
  2. Trimmer head. A 200 W motor spins the line at 6,500 RPM and trims from 2 to 4 inches high, for about 135 minutes per charge.
  3. Tow hitch included. The package also ships with a tow hitch made to work with the Back Brace Mount.

What is the difference between the Y40 and the Y40P?

The Y40P uses gearbox-free dual hub motors, which make it faster and more efficient than the Y40. Top speed rises from 0.6 to 1.2 m/s, mowing per charge from 0.25 to 0.3 acre, and snow cleared per charge from 6,000 to 7,000 ft². The climb rating of 70% (35°) and the noise level of about 60 dB are the same on both.

Does the Y40P Core work on its own?

No. The Core is the base: drive, battery and navigation. It needs a module to mow, blow or clear snow. Add the Lawn Mower Pro, Snow Blower, Blower or Trimmer and the same Core does that job.

How much lawn can the Y40P mow?

With the Lawn Mower Pro module, the Y40P mows up to 0.3 acre per charge, 2 acres per day and about 7 acres per week at two cuts a week. It mows for about 120 minutes per charge, then docks and recharges on its own.

How steep a slope can it handle?

Up to 70% (35°) with the Lawn Mower Pro, Blower and Trimmer modules. With the Snow Blower module, Yarbo rates it for slopes up to 36% (20°).

How loud is the Y40P?

About 60 dB, which Yarbo compares to normal conversation. That makes early morning or evening schedules practical for most households.

Can it work in rain and cold?

The Lawn Mower Pro is rated IPX6 and has rain detection. The Snow Blower, Blower and Trimmer are rated IPX5, and the Snow Blower and Trimmer operate from -13°F to 113°F.

Do I need to bury a boundary wire?

No. The Y40P uses RTK satellite positioning with vision, IMU and odometry, so you map your property in the app instead of digging in a wire.

Will my existing Yarbo modules fit the Y40P?

Yes. Yarbo sells the Lawn Mower Pro, Snow Blower, Blower and Trimmer as Y Series modules and publishes figures for both cores on the same module, for example 6 acres a week on the Y40 and 7 acres on the Y40P with the Lawn Mower Pro. If you own an older module, call +1 423-927-3776 and we will check it against your exact model.

What is the Yarbo Trimmer?

The Trimmer is a module that edges along fences, walls and beds where the mower cannot reach. It connects to the Core through the Back Brace Mount, which comes in the Trimmer Package with a tow hitch.
